Safety Precautions
a) Use the Correct Charger
To ensure safety and optimal performance, always use the USB cable included in the original packaging. If you need to use a different cable, consult an electrician to confirm its compatibility. Using incorrect cables or chargers can damage the battery and create safety hazards. Use alternative cables at your own risk, we are not liable for any issues that arise from using a different charging cable.
b) Avoid Overcharging
Do not leave the battery connected to the charger once it is fully charged to prevent overcharging and potential damage.
c) Check for Damage
Before charging, inspect the USB cable and charging port for any visible damage or debris. Do not use damaged cables or connectors.
Preparation
a) Turn Off the LED lights
If the LED lights are on, turn them off before beginning the charging process. This ensures safe and effective charging.
Connecting the USB Cable
a) Locate the USB Charging Port
Insert the thin end of the USB charging cable into the charging port on the wooden base. Ensure it is securely connected.

b) Connect to Power Source
Plug the other end of the USB cable into a compatible USB power source. This could be a USB wall adapter, computer port, or any other USB-compatible charger.
Charging the Battery
a) Check the Charging Indicator
If the wooden base has a charging indicator (e.g., an LED light), check it to confirm that charging has begun.
b) Monitor Charging Time
Follow the recommended charging time which is 2 hours. Overcharging can be avoided by disconnecting the USB cable once the battery is fully charged.
c) Avoid Interruption
Do not disconnect the USB cable or turn off the power source while the battery is charging. If the charging process is interrupted, it may affect the battery’s performance.
Completion of Charging
a) Disconnect the USB Cable
Once the battery is fully charged, safely disconnect the USB cable from both the wooden base and the power source.
b) Regular Maintenance
Regularly check the battery’s performance and charging cycle. Get the batery replaced by a professional conservator or repair specialist if it no longer holds a charge effectively.
By following these instructions, you ensure that your battery charges safely and efficiently, maintaining the performance and longevity of the wooden base’s LED lighting system.
3. Handling and Transport
Handling
Handle the acrylic-painted plexiglass plate by its edges. Avoid touching the painted surface to prevent smudging or scratching.
Use clean, dry gloves or a soft cloth when handling to prevent transferring oils or dirt.
For the wooden base, lift by the sides or bottom.
Transport
Securely pack the plate, wooden base and usb cable in its original packing. If original packing is not available, then pack them in a padded, rigid container to prevent movement and damage. Ensure the LED lights are turned off and disconnect the USB cable before packing.
4. Environmental Conditions
Temperature and Humidity
Keep the plate and base in a stable environment with temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C) and relative humidity between 40-50%.
Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures or high humidity, which can cause warping of the plexiglass and damage to the paint, wooden base and LED components.
Light and Obejct Exposure
Protect all pieces including the plate, wood base and cable from dust, dirt, any objects, any forms of direct liquids, heat, moisture or sunlight from any external sources.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning the Plexiglass Plate and the Wooden Base
Dust the surface gently using a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid any abrasive materials, water or cleaning agents that may damage the paint, the plate and the wood base.
LED Lights and Battery Maintenance
Check the LED lights periodically to ensure they are functioning correctly and not overheating.
Ensure the USB charging port and cable are clean and free of debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove any dust or dirt.
Charge the battery as per the given instructions. Avoid overcharging by unplugging the USB cable once the battery is fully charged.
Display
Place the plate on a stable, level surface. Avoid high-traffic areas to minimize the risk of accidental damage.
Ensure the wooden base is secure and level to prevent tipping or movement.
Pest Control
The wood base you use is supplied from raw material that has been heat- treated against all kinds of pests. It also has a thin layer of water based varnish. Regularly inspect the wooden base for signs of pests, such as insects or mold, which could affect the wood and its components. To prevent it, keep the display area clean and dry. Use pest control measures cautiously, avoiding toxic chemicals that could harm the paint, plate or the wooden base.
6. Emergency Response
Damage
Although plexiglass plates are much more impact-resistant than glass, they can still pose a physical hazard if broken or misused. Sharp edges or shattered pieces can cause injuries. In case of accidental damage to the plexiglass plate or wooden base, contact a professional conservator or repair specialist for advice and repairs. Avoid attempting repairs yourself.
If liquid comes into contact with the plate to protect the paint on it, immediately dry it using a dry cloth with a gentle touch-and-pull motion.
If liquid comes into contact with the wood base, do not use it and have it inspected by an electrician.
Battery or LED Issues
If the LED lights malfunction or the battery leaks, carefully disconnect and seek professional assistance for repair or replacement of the LED system.
